Partnership Announcement: Anjiro Initiative and Missouri Botanical Garden/NAP Agnalazaha
AnjiroInitiative and Missouri Botanical Garden/NAP Agnalazaha have come together to support education in Mahabo. We are excited to begin our partnership with the CEG Mahabo-Mananivo in the District of Farafangana, which marks Anjiro Initiative’s expansion into Southeast Madagascar.
"Education is the basis for the development of a community. Supporting education in Mahabo gives future generations a means to achieve their personal dreams and ambitions. Education is everyone's business and we would like to thank Anjiro Initiative for helping the people of Mahabo and we hope that the collaboration will continue and expand in the years to come," remarks Fidy Ratovoson, Missouri Botanical Garden Mahabo-Mananivo Conservation Sites Supervisor.
Missouri Botanical Garden/NAP Agnalazaha invited the Anjiro Initiative Madagascar Country Team to the “Festival de la Biodiversité,” which took place December 8-9, 2023. The team traveled 24 hours by taxi-brousse from Tana to Mahabo-Mananivo to celebrate the partnership, meet the 12 Anjiro Initiative scholarship recipients and their families, and participate in the festival.
