Anjiro Initiative Distributes Diary Nofy Books in Sabotsy Anjiro

From February 5 to 6, the Anjiro Initiative Madagascar Country Team visited public primary schools (EPP) in three villages within the municipality of Sabotsy Anjiro. The villages Marozevo, Mahazina, and Amboanjobe are approximately 7 km (4 mi) apart from each other. Amboanjobe presented challenges in accessibility because of poor road and path conditions, which were exacerbated by recent heavy rains. Despite these obstacles, our team safely reached their destination.

Our team members Franka, Tendry, and Toky were warmly welcomed at the EPP book distribution by teachers and students, who expressed joy upon receiving their Diary Nofy storybook, a locally authored and illustrated Malagasy storybook. These books are invaluable resources for education programs, especially since these schools teach  many students who are facing financial hardships. Many students also reside far from the school, making access to educational materials even more crucial.

“Let's Read: Diary Nofy" is one of the flagship projects initiated by the nonprofit Teach For Madagascar. The organization aims to mobilize, recruit and train talented individuals to contribute to the advancement of education in Madagascar.
