Join Our Event on 8/8 at Clio's in Oakland

Join us and Northern California Peace Corps Association at the amazing bookstore Clio’s (353 Grand Ave., Oakland, CA), where there are shelves of books organized by historical period, chess boards, and a full bar with small bites.

Learn more about Anjiro Initiative, founded by Cliff Duong (Peace Corps volunteer in Madagascar 2011-2014), our nonprofit that provides educational grants and partnerships to support students in Madagascar.

Founded in 2014, Anjiro Initiative aims to expand our impact across Madagascar, guided by a mission to support students in marginalized communities. We collaborate with educators and families to provide resources for success, supporting Malagasy students at all academic levels, from kindergarten to university. This year marks our 11th year of fundraising for the community of Anjiro, Madagascar. Campaign proceeds are granted directly to schools to cover the cost of annual tuition for students at the primary, middle, secondary, and university levels.

We want to extend our deepest appreciation to our friends at Northern California Peace Corps Association for organizing this event and an additional event the following week at Bissap Baobab in San Francisco.

We look forward to meeting you!
