United Nations Secretariat Approves Anjiro Initiative's 2024 UN Civil Society Conference Registration
We are delighted to announce that the United Nations Secretariat has approved Founder and President, Cliff Duong’s, and Head of Programs, Franka Rasolomanantsoa’s, registrations to attend the 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference at the United Nations Office in Nairobi, Kenya on May 9-10, 2024 on behalf of Anjiro Initiative.
The United Nations Civil Society Conference is the premier event on the civil society calendar at the United Nations. The Conference offers civil society organizations an opportunity to put a global perspective on a specific issue and brings together senior UN System officials, prominent international civil society organizations, youth changemakers, academia, public opinion makers, and international media to discuss issues of global concern. This international forum, expected to host some 1,500 participants, will provide preliminary discussions and data ahead of the Summit of the Future in September 2024 at the UN Headquarters in New York.
“It is a great honor and privilege to attend the 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference in Nairobi in support of Malagasy students from rural communities. It is critical that we build bridges through strategic partnerships, facilitate opportunities to support those in danger of being left behind, and listen to individuals with lived experience as the UN prepares for the preliminary discussions ahead of the Summit of the Future in September 2024 in New York,” said Cliff Duong.
Franka Rasolomanantsoa remarked, “it is an honor for me to attend the 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference in Nairobi, Kenya in support of girls’ education from my country, Madagascar. I aim to encourage girls and young women to prove to everyone that they are capable, to never back down when facing problems or family pressure, and to persevere even if they encounter problems while studying.”
